Description

These delightful breakfast sliders offer a warm, comforting start to your day, blending the pillowy sweetness of Hawaiian rolls with savory, fluffy eggs and melted cheese. Glazed with a hint of maple butter and baked to golden perfection, these pull-apart sandwiches are an ideal centerpiece for family brunches. They are quick to prepare, incredibly satisfying, and perfect for feeding a crowd without spending your entire morning in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale

10 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 package (12 count) Hawaiian dinner rolls
10–12 slices deli American cheese
9–12 slices turkey deli meat
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Whisk the eggs, salt, pepper, and water together until combined.
Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat and scramble the eggs until just set but still moist.
Keep the Hawaiian rolls together as one block and slice the entire slab in half horizontally.
Place the bottom layer of rolls into a baking dish.
Layer half the cheese slices on the bottom rolls, followed by the turkey, the scrambled eggs, and the remaining cheese slices.
Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and maple syrup.
Brush the glaze over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Notes

You can prepare the egg and meat layers ahead of time and assemble just before baking. For a savory twist, add diced green onions or mild green chilies to the egg mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven or microwave.
