Description
A quick and easy air fryer bagel recipe that delivers the classic chewy center and crispy exterior in just 20 minutes. Using Greek yogurt creates a tender crumb while skipping traditional boiling steps. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or toast.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons caraway seeds (optional)
Sesame seeds (optional)
Poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar
Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a sticky dough forms
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes
Let rest for 10 minutes
Divide dough into 6-8 equal portions
Roll each into a ball, then flatten into a ring shape (save some dough for cutting holes)
Use a smaller ball to shape the center hole and attach
Place shaped bagels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and press with another object to maintain roundness
Lightly flour the bagels, then top with desired seeds
Transfer to air fryer basket, spacing them apart
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown
Notes
For best results, use an air fryer with at least 4.5-quart capacity
Seeds can be mixed directly into the dough for a different texture
Store in airtight container for up to 4 days
Reheat in air fryer at 175°F (80°C) for 3 minutes for extra crispiness
